Phase 2 ESA

A more in-depth follow-up investigation of a Phase 1 (aka Level One) Environmental Site Assessment (ESA). A Phase 2 investigation is usually undertaken to verify the presence of subsurface contaminants that are suspected because of findings in the Phase 1 investigation that were inconclusive or suggest a risk that needs to be verified or quantified.
