Since 1990, Building Solutions has managed two master planning and rezoning efforts, five new building projects, two major renovations, and annual summer capital improvements projects. Under the guidance of Building Solutions as LEED advisor, the most recent project (20,000 sf Center for Creative Learning) has been LEED Gold Certified.  As needed, Building Solutions has served formally as the campus Facility Manager and at times, informally as an advisor to the Facilities Department with problem-solving of all kinds.

The Situation

This growing parish K-8 school of approximately 450 students had an aging campus of small and inadequate buildings.  In the past 20 years, half of the buildings have been replaced with larger structures and half of the buildings have been adapted to new uses.


Value Added by Building Solutions

Building Solutions has provided expert assistance in every facet of the building program, from consultant and contractor selection to management of the design and budgeting process, through construction contract management and quality control.  On the most recent project, the Owner certifies that as the project leader, Building Solutions saved the school $450,000 in gained efficiencies, improved pricing, and innovative measures.
