Dennis Palmer, LEED AP O+M
Dennis Palmer is the president and chief operating officer at Building Solutions, a national real estate development advisory firm specializing in creating existing asset management plans (ESMP) and guiding capital projects. In his role, Dennis oversees the entire organization, ensuring the company advances its overall goals. Having been with the company since 2011, he has steadily risen through the ranks due to his dedication and extensive experience in the field. He prides himself on being a connector, working with architects and construction teams to bridge the gap between conceptual designs and real-world applications, all with a practical eye.
Dennis’s entrepreneurial spirit emerged early in his career. In his early 20s, he founded Billings Indesign Construction, a full-service architecture and construction firm offering turnkey solutions for large-scale remodels. He later gained valuable experience at global firms like HKS Architects, overseeing notable projects such as AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX, and The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. These experiences allowed Dennis to hone his expertise in architecture, construction, and project planning.
A Dallas native, Dennis is actively engaged with various community organizations throughout Texas. He currently serves as the board chair at Big Thought, the Diocesan Interracial Task Force, and St. Philip’s Community Advancement Committee, among others. Additionally, he spearheaded Building Solutions’ “Building Solutions for Brighter Futures” campaign, a year-long initiative to raise awareness about inequities in school facilities and champion successful learning environments for K-12 students in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Dennis is passionate about sustainability and has served on the board for the Dallas Green Construction Code (Chapter 61), where he examined and adapted LEED standards for the new code. He holds several professional accreditations, including LEED EB O+M from the U.S. Green Building Council and Construction Documents Technology from the Construction Specifications Institute.
Dennis resides in Dallas, Texas, with his wife and two children.
