UMS-Wright is the oldest private school in the state of Alabama and since its opening in 1893, the campus has grown from a boys’ military school of 25 to a co-ed college preparatory school enrolling over 500 scholars. The school’s campus is situated on 55 acres a few miles west of Mobile Bay and includes five lower school buildings, two middle school buildings, and one high school building.

Leadership engaged Building Solutions to complete a facility assessment pursuant to implementing their current Strategic Plan. As part of this plan the School intended to “ensure all facilities and technology provide consistent, creative, and dynamic support for the UMS-Wright mission” and “identify and prioritize facility and technology improvements.”

Building Solutions helped UMS-Wright identify key building system replacement needs within their growing and developing campus. Contributing to their Strategic Plan, School leadership will be able to direct funds towards capital replacement of major building systems, fixtures, and equipment. Building Solutions emphasized the importance of routine maintenance and scheduled replacement of these building systems in order to preserve their existing buildings and programs.
